A good beginning to living under the influence of the Holy Spirit is to understand what He gives to you and how to live by His guidance. If you accept the Fruit of the Spirit are the principles of how to conduct yourself, then you will be prepared to receive the many gifts that the Father desires to give to you through His power in the Holy Spirit. Without this knowledge and application, you can miss receiving these precious gifts.

For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such is no law. Galatians 5:22-23​

It is important to conduct our behavior through the anointing of the Fruit of the Spirit. These fruits are based on love, for the Holy Spirit, who is God and God is love, lives in our heart. In our maturation in God's Word, and upon our request in prayer, we are given supernatrual gifts to use in our earthen life through our faithful relationship with the Son of God, Jesus Christ. God does not arbitrarily throw gifts down from His Kingdom to His children, for we must ask for the gifts. We may receive more than one gift provided through the Holy Spirit.

 

 

 

 

Gifts of the Holy Spirit

 

 

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues. But all these work that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 1 Corinthians 12:7-11
