The Holy Spirit is God's Power

All things of God are given to us on the authority of His Son, Jesus Christ, and provided through the Holy Spirit. This is why it becomes so imperative to release, or quicken, the Holy Spirit when you receive Him. Everything you will ever learn comes from the personal tutor the Father gives to each of His born-again children. Why is this the pathway? Because you are now born into another world, the Spirit realm, where God is. Therefore, every blessing, promise, and gift comes to God's children through the Holy Spirit who lives in your heart. If you want super-natural Kingdom power to achieve health and prosperity in your life and those you love, there is only one source and that is the Holy Spirit. You will NEVER obtain your destiny, healing, and greatness in this lifetime (as a steward within the Kingdom of God) if you do not accept your Father's gift and apply His provisions.

We see the parallel of how God gave to His chosen people, the Israelites, when He took them out of Egypt and four-thousand years later, we learn of His Son, Christ, who came for the people. Look at the comparison below and learn the significance of the Holy Spirit in your life. He is your connection to the Father in your relationship with His Son.

A Marriage to Christ... the Holy Spirit is your Wedding gift!

Passover to Pentecost

Each person born of the Spirit of God in Christ is now married to Him. The Holy Spirit is a marriage gift. Therefore, all that is within the Kingdom of Heaven is owned by the Son of God, Christ, is now available to you for the asking! You obtain the storehouse of heavenly, spiritual treasures through the Holy Spirit. In Christ, you have an inheritance that is available to you today. You are a co-heir with Christ to the Kingdom of God.

Wherefore, my brethen, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Romans 7:4

Follow the  timeline as defined below:

On the Old Testament Day of Pentecost Israel received the Law; on the New Testament Day of Pentecost the Church received the Holy Ghost.

Fifty days from Passover to Pentecost - The first four Feasts/spring. (1st coming of Christ.)

Note: The Passover occurred the night before the Israelites left Egypt. It took 50 days before they stood at the base of Mt. Siani before God.

Feast of Passover to Feast of Pentecost is 50 days.

And ye shall count unto you from the marrow after the sabbath from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the marrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord. Leviticus 23:15-16

Christ’s death - Passover

Christ’s burial - Unleavened Bread

Christ’s resurrection - First Fruit

Christ’s Pentecost (Giving of the Holy Spirit)

We count 50 days from Passover up to the feast of Pentecost.  Pentecost is the anniversary of the giving of the Law at

Mt. Sinai and is considered to be the birthday of ancient Israel. Shortly following that event, 3,000 Israelites died because they chose to make their own malten calf god of gold and silver and worship it instead, rejecting God.

However, the New Covenant tells us of another Pentecost in which the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Jewish people at Mt. Zion and at that event 3,000 were saved

Feast of Pentecost is seven weeks of seven days after Passover. Pentecost is on the 50th day.

Historically, the law came down from God to Moses on Mt. Sinai.

Prophetically, Jesus ascended to heaven on the forty-third day; three days in grave plus forty days with His disciples. The Holy Spirit descended upon the Church on the fiftieth day, Pentecost. This is the beginning of the Church Age.

Old Testament vs New Testament

In the Old Testament, the Israelites worshipped God with burnt offers.

Animal sacrifices.

And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offer unto the Lord, with their meat offering and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto he Lord. Leviticus 23:18

Is there a correlation to the ten burnt offerings and ten commandments?

7 lambs  -  1 bullock  -  2 rams

In the New Testament, the believers worship God with words, a verbal acknowledge.

Words (calves of our lips), verbal offerings of praise.

Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips. Hosea 14:2

1st Pentecost

  • Location:  Mt Sinai

  • God gives the Law (Commandments)

  • Law emphasizes what man is to do - Focus is on man (Thou shalt not do…)

  • Law kills - man built a molten calf to worship and 3,000 died because of the law/sins

  • Offerings to the Lord: Tangible, unblemished animals for sacrifice

  • Timeline: 50 days (Passover to Pentecost)

Seven sabbaths is seven weeks: 7 x 7 =  49 days. The 50th day is a sabbath day.

God spoke to Moses to bring the people in 3 days to Mt. Sinai

Moses spent 40 days with God at Mt. Sinai

Moses returns to the people; angry at their conduct and gathers all who believe in God (Levites) and destroys the defiled, sinful people who would not turn from their wickedness.

3 + 40 = 43;  43 - 50 = 7 days

2nd Pentecost

  • Location: Mt Zion

  • Jesus gives the Holy Spirit

  • Holy Spirit emphasizes what God has done; Focus is on God (God says: I will)

  • Holy Spirit gives life - 3,000 heard the gospel of Christ and were saved

  • Offerings to the Lord: Verbal, praise and thanksgiving

  • Timeline: 50 days (Passover to Pentecost)

Holy Spirit came to the upper room 50 days after Christ’s death (Passover).

Christ crucified - 3 days in grave

Christ arose - 40 days on earth

Christ ascension to Heaven

3 + 40 = 43;  43 - 50 = 7 days

After Christ’s resurrection, He spent 40 days with His disciples and others telling them of the Kingdom of God.

To whom also he showed himself after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God. Acts 1:3

Christ explains that soon they will receive the Holy Ghost (the Comforter) once He leaves them.

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Acts 1:5

Seven days after Christ ascended to Heaven, the Holy Spirit was given to 120 people in the Upper Room in Jerusalem.

Seven is God’s number of perfection, completion. The Holy Spirit is the final personage of the Trinity of God. It is a completion, just as God finished and rested on the 7th day from all He created, so is His work finished in Christ at the Cross. The giving of the gift of the Holy Spirit is the seal of the work done for man's sake. The Trinity of God for man has been fulfilled. Now, it is up to every individual person to accept Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Note:  Knowing the 50th day is a sabbath (7x7=49=50th day; after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days), it would appear by calculation that the Holy Ghost descended upon the disciples in the Upper Room on a Sabbath Day, the 50th day; a day God blessed and sanctified. As God completed His work and rested on the seventh day, so would He descend as the Holy Ghost on His sanctified, holy day.

What remains to be fulfilled is the second coming of Christ to gather the children of God; the fall Feasts: Feasts of Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles. However, born in Christ, we are already living within the Kingdom of Heaven. Christ’s return is a formality to receiving our new body and our relocation into our new home, the New Jerusalem after the seventh Covenant, the Kingdom of Peace (one-thousand years), is fulfilled.
