Living Spirit Strong

Embracing the Holy Spirit

Live for God and let God live in you!

I have no greater joy than to know that my children walk in truth. 3 John 1:4

God's gives Himself to you in a very special gift of the Holy Ghost. As His child, and living spiritually within His Kingdom, you are entitled to the supernatural power that flows from His throne. Your heavenly Father invites you through the authority given in Christ to obtain these wonderful gifts of power, so that you may implement them in your daily life. It is His greatest desire that you do so, for it is one of His deepest expression of love for you.

Be the child your heavenly Father will be proud of. He has many gifts, blessings, and promises to give to you today intended for a lifetime and all you have to do is love Him and live for Him. He has a purpose for your life, a plan (destiny) that was established within His Kingdom before you were born. Discovering the Father's purpose for your life determines how you live today, tomorrow, and even eternally.

Through the gift of a free will, we are given the liberty to choose a life for God, living in the spirit for the Spirit. We know that God is Spirit, Christ is Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is Spirit. These are the Trinity of God, for God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and whereby the Kingdom of Heaven functions in the spirit realm. To live in this spirit world, we must first remove ourselves from the carnal or natural world. Until we leave this earthen life through death, we remain in a physical form (body); however, we live by the guidance and power given in the spirit, for we are now living, spiritually, within the Kingdom.

We understand that to pass from the natural to the spirit, we must be reborn. This second birth is through Christ. In receiving His Spirit entwined with our spirit, we are born into the Kingdom of Heaven, a returning from were we once where and belong. Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: and came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. Ephesians 2:15-17 We are a new creature in Christ cleansed and made righteous for the Father. The old carnal person has died on the cross with Christ, and the new spirit person is born in Christ for an eternal life for the Father. This eternal life begins the day you are born to the spirit person God intended you to be and carries on into eternity when you live with Christ as your King in the New Jerusalem, your final heavenly home.

It becomes imperative to understand that through this transformation, your life has changed. You can look the same, and feel no different, but you are a newborn person in spirit ready to live a spirit life. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:17 God knew you would need to be tutored, guided, and generally helped along the way as you mature in your faith, trust, and belief in someone whom you cannot see, but is real. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Transitioning from a natural life influenced by emotions to a spirit life guided by the principles of the Kingdom is quite an undertaking and simply cannot be done without the Holy Spirit. This is one of the His responsibilities, to be our advocate, for our prayers are administered through the Holy Spirit and God's power is channeled into our life through the same Holy Spirit.

If you believe in God, and accept Jesus as His Son, then accept that you have been given a very special gift of the Holy Ghost, the third person of the Trinity of God. You have received God Himself. He will teach you how to live a spirit-centered life and receive supernatural power while remaining in the physical or natural world. This is God's gift to you, one that will change your life forever.

I've trained myself to start each day by giving God the firstfruits of my time. I've realized that I'm not going to get through the day peacefully if I don't. So, each morning I get coffee and usually while still in my pajamas, I spend as much time with God as I need to in order to feel I can behave properly and walk in the Fruit of the Spirit throughout the day. I've learned to use this best part of my day to give God the best part of my heart. Giving God the first moments of the morning helps keep my priorities straight for the rest of the day. Don't use this gift of time with God to meditate on your problems, but set your heart as the Psalmist did: But I trust in thee O Lord: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hands: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. Psalm 31:14-15  Note the words, my times are in thy hands. Each day will bring times of joy, times of testing, times of challenge, and times of temptation. That's why you need to pray, Lord, each hour of this day I"m depending on You. Let my words, my attitudes, my decisions, and my actions bring glory to You.
