“…and she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”  Luke 2:7 NASB

The infancy narrative is so rich in meanings and insights, but I’m choosing to focus on this line of the story.  There was no room for them at the inn, it was full in terms of capacity.  This can be looked at in a deeper way, as a useful metaphor.  Sometimes, we too can be “full”, full of negative beliefs, negative perceptions, and the like. When we are, there is also no room for the Divine either, just as in the narrative.  Preoccupation and the allowing of what is not of the Divine into our minds and hearts keeps Him out, allows Him no room.  Now, the Divine plan was to unfold regardless, and the birth still took place, whether there was room or not. The same goes on on our existence. The Divine plan moves forward, sometimes in spite of us.  So why not allow this plan to be in its fullness in your life?  The tools I use, EFT, ZPoint, and the like are very useful to clear out the inn, so to speak. So this year, maybe the Christmas gift you can give to yourself is to clear out some room for the Divine, and thus re-establish the connection with Him, not that He severs it. Rather, we often shut Him out, leaving Him no room.  Perhaps, the time for that is over.

I pray that this year, you clear out what you need to, and make room, so that the Divine can be with you in all fullness.  May God bless you in all abundance, now and always. Merry and Blessed Christmas to all!

Interesting thought came to mind..how do starts shine? I found this..”The stellar gas, now in a spherical shape, is contracted further by gravity while exploding by fusion. Together, a balance is reached and a star is born.”

Did you see it? A BALANCE is reached. That’s key for us..we shine when we have reached the proper balance! What is that balance for you? Now go shine!

There are blocks, areas of resistance that we can sometimes experience.  A useful approach can be to use different vocabulary, different metaphors.  Instead of wanting to clear it, which can create patterns of resistance and conflict, you can seek to TRANSFORM it. What a subtle yet wonderful shift, don’t you think?

So for example, if you are experiencing pain and conflict in a given situation, you could use a standard tapping set-up and go the clearing route..”Even though I feel this pain and conflict, I deeply and completely accept myself.”  However, I think it could be more empowering to use a Choices phrase and approach it from the framework of transformation.

So take something like this out for a spin….

“Even though I feel this pain and conflict, I choose to transform it into peace and profound love”  Try using it for something specific for yourself. Remember to come back and post a comment to share your experience!

I am grateful that certain reactions are triggered, because it brings them to light to be cleared. The pain is momentary, the clearing is permanent. It sure help when the light touch of someone’s love gives you just the opening you need to get the work done.  All does indeed move in perfection.

Some of you may have noticed that there haven’t been many Spirit Spark updates lately.  The explanation is that I have been focused on doing a lot of inner work personally.  I hope it comes across that, in regards to the Spirit Sparks, I don’t write just to write. I like to share what is upon my heart and in my mind.  Due to the intensity of the inner work I am doing, I have been more turned inward than trying to share outward. 

In the cycle of growth, there are times when there are blocks and the like that need to be worked through in order to get to the next level.  If it hadn’t been for the tools I use in my practice, I don’t know how I would have worked through a lot of things.  I guess this is why I am so passionate about sharing them with folks, I know first-hand how effective they are.

The teaching says that you must approach the Kingdom of God like a child. What does that mean? In their essence, children are innocent and trusting. They trust their parents to take care of them, and give them what they need. No complictated rituals, no lengthy requests. Get the connection?

“Even though I often don’t trust God to care for me or give me all good, I choose to allow Him to shower me with His love and care.”

Something I have often dealt with, and I know many on the spiritual path do as well, is the notion of not being good enough.  There is a tendency to measure ourselves against some perfectionist ideal, and we are always left with the sense we have been measured and found wanting.  Now, as travellers, we know we are lookng to attain a higher ideal, a higher level of being, but there is a difference between growth and personal brow-beating. 

I decided to share this with you all, as I have been experiencing this to a high degree the past couple of days.  I have been working through a conflict within. One one hand, I enjoy sharing all this, yet there is an inner voice that says, “Who are you to tell anyone about spirituality? You fall short of it yourself!”  Have any of you had similar inner conflicts?

Through much work, I have come to this conclusion. Yes, I am not perfect, and I am happy that I may not perfect, spiritually or otherwise. I rejoice in that now, because that means I can share with you genuinely, and help from my true Self, the Self God created, not the false one with the mask that I created.  Does that make sense?

Now is this all gone for good? I doubt it. It will resurface time and again in different ways, through different aspects.  Such is the path of growth, yes?

What was also very helpful to me was sharing this struggle with a spiritual sister who listnened without any judgement, just love and concern.  Indeed, this can go a long way.  If you have someone like this in your life, I urge you to talk to them.  If not, remember, to go through your inner work WITHOUT negatively judging yourself.

He is forcing a focus on what is Truth, what is really important, namely, love, concern, and compassion, not “the rules”. Go and do likewise!
